modding my storm bow
ok well i've got a 9 req, 15>50 storm bow with terrible mods. what mods would get me the most cash return? i'm guessing combo of +30 hp, 10/10 sundering or 5/-1 vamp.
i got this in a chest so i've invested 0 gold into it so far, just want to know what mods are gonna be most valuable? |

Yes those are the most valued mods even if personally i consider sundering not the best thing you can have.. but it's probably better to sell it like you found it probably you won't get the money back from the upgrading

uh gold max dmg 15>50 with 9 req will go for more than the 80k it'll take to buy the mods (right now it's got a 5% sundering string on it only), thanks for replies though

If all you're looking for is the ability to charge the most ridiculous price possible for your bow, then yes...Sundering and Fortitude seem to be the mods currently in vogue.
In some instances (read: this one) items' prices and their in-game utility seem to have little correlation. Personally, I would take a Poisoner's/Defense bow over Sundering and Fortitude any day of the week. To each his own, I suppose. Not that I mind...my favorite mods are rarely very expensive. |

Mhh maybe i haven't been clear enough about getting money back from mods... let's say the bow you have is worth around 550k... you will get the same offers if you sell the bows like this or fully modded... there won't be a 60k difference (price of ups) in the offers

no i understand what you mean, and there are two things to look at: how much profit will i get for it now, and how much profit will i get for it after mods.
right now 15>50 with 10/5 sundering i'm guessing will get about 50k (may be a little conservative) with perfect mods it'll get easily 100k+x ecto (-80k for mods). so 20k plus however many ecto. may be a gamble but i'll probably take it. and through all this i've decided i might keep it for myself so might not even get the ridiculously expensive (and incredibly overrated) mods that ppl demand on their OMG!1 GODLY bows thanks again to every one that replied |

Hey, in case you ever change your mind about keeping the bow, I'd give you 60k for it, as is.

a. i dont think its worth modding it because the market for it will be narrower, and so demand will go down and less people will be competing fo it
b. its worth waaay more than 60k.... |

So you know, and don't get ripped off... these bows are selling for much more than the 70k offered... search for some before selling.

Sorry about my earlier post...I didn't mean to turn this thread into an auction. The offer was intended to be seen as a farce; I didn't know that someone would take it seriously. Evidently my point was not absurd enough to shine through.
However, since the acerbic nature was lost upon a few readers...allow me to spell it out, sans any editorial banter. The bow in question should legitimately sell for MULTIPLE HUNDREDS OF PLATINUM. Not kidding this time. Good luck with your venture into auctioneering. |
